The foundations of my teaching philosophy are: to be a good communicator, to provide students with the tools to be lifelong learners, and to be an enthusiastic motivator. I strive every day to be a good listener, to guide instruction rather than lecture, and to foster an environment where students feel safe in expressing their thoughts and ideas. It is through these areas that I make my classes a personally rewarding experience for the students. |

The complete education of a student should include the understanding and appreciation of the physical laws that govern the universe as well as their local surroundings. It’s a privilege to teach a subject that empowers the student to understand why events happen, and how they can be changed to an outcome that benefits all of us. |

My teaching philosophy is to make myself not so much an expert in my field, but a partner in learning. I believe that every good teacher, in his or her own way, gives more to students than just content. Instilling values, whether they be honesty, integrity, good morals, or a ‘can-do attitude’ is just as important as the content being presented. Above all, my hope is that my students become empowered by their own learning. |

The education our students get is good, but if they develop their passion along with it, this might propel them from mediocrity to greatness. |
